Job Description:

Position:           Purchase Manager

Location:          Gandhidham

Experience:      8 - 10 Years

Industries:       Packaging

Responsibilities: 

  • Procurement Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives, ensuring effective sourcing, quality, and cost control.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with reliable suppliers. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to maximize value for the company while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Purchasing Operations: Oversee daily purchasing activities, including order creation, managing purchase requisitions, and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage purchasing budgets, ensuring that procurement activities are conducted within the allocated budget, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Stock Management: Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure proper stock levels, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory.
  • Quality Control: Ensure purchased goods and services meet the required quality standards, conduct product inspections when necessary, and resolve any quality issues with suppliers.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for long-term agreements and purchase contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate supplier performance, including delivery time, quality, and cost efficiency. Work on corrective actions when necessary.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, new suppliers, and emerging purchasing technologies to ensure the organization maintains a competitive edge in its procurement process.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents, ensuring optimal performance, providing training, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and purchasing expenditures. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Required Qualification: - Any Graduation

Salary :-  Upto 7.20 LPA
