Manager-Government Business Development
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales and Business Development:
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve government sales targets and expand company's presence in the institutional market.
• Identify business opportunities through tenders, GeM (Government e-Marketplace), and direct procurement channels.
• Build a pipeline of government projects that require GFRP solutions in sectors such as communication, petroleum, energy, and infrastructure.
2. Government Liaisoning and Relationship Management:
• Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in government bodies, PSUs, and consultants.
• Represent company in meetings, presentations, and discussions with government officials to position our product portfolio effectively.
• Stay updated on government processes, policies, and procurement norms to ensure compliance and successful engagement.
3. Tender and Procurement Management:
• Analyze tender documents and coordinate with internal teams to prepare and submit competitive bids.
• Ensure timely follow-up on approvals, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Collaborate with consultants and contractors to secure project approvals and orders.
4. Product Advocacy and Compliance:
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company’s product range and its compliance with government standards.
• Promote the sustainability and innovation aspects of company's products during discussions with stakeholders.
5. Market Intelligence and Feedback:
• Monitor competitor activities, government policies, and tender trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide regular feedback to management for strategic planning and product development.
6. Reporting and Coordination:
• Prepare and present detailed reports on sales performance, tender updates, and market
insights.
• Coordinate with internal departments, including production, tendering, and logistics, to
ensure timely delivery and adherence to contract terms.
7. Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualification: Graduate (full time)
Experience:
• 10–15 years in government liaison, institutional sales, or business development, ideally
in the manufacturing or infrastructure sectors.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Delhi NCR in the building material industry
with project sales experience in competitive industries like Building Materials, White
Cement, Paints, Plywood, PVC Plumbing Pipes, Electrical and Switchgear, Sanitary
Ware and Bathroom Fittings, or Air-conditioning.
