Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Design Engineer to join our team in the water industry. This role will focus on designing, planning, and implementing water treatment, distribution, and infrastructure systems to ensure clean and sustainable water for communities and industrial clients. The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil or environmental engineering with an emphasis on water resources.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Design and Development
    • Develop detailed designs for water treatment plants, distribution networks, pipelines, pumping stations, and other water infrastructure.
    • Conduct hydraulic and structural calculations to ensure efficient, sustainable, and compliant design.
    • Create and review engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
  2. Technical Analysis and Evaluation
    • Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and impact evaluations to determine optimal design solutions.
    • Analyze data on flow rates, water quality, and consumption trends to guide design choices.
    • Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies for water infrastructure.
  3. Regulatory Compliance and Standards
    • Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal water industry regulations and standards.
    • Collaborate with compliance teams to address environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
    • Work closely with project managers, environmental engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Coordinate with clients and government agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
    • Attend client meetings, prepare project reports, and present design concepts and progress updates.
  5. Quality Assurance and Optimization
    • Participate in quality assurance (QA) processes to verify design accuracy and compliance.
    • Optimize designs for efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Review and troubleshoot issues during the design and construction phases.
  6. Project Documentation
    • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design calculations, reports, and specifications.
    • Maintain organized records for all design stages and decisions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechincal Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of design experience in the water industry or a similar field.
  • CTC-20 to 25lacs
