OVERALL FACTORY OPERATIONS
A factory manager, also known as a production manager, manages the daily operations of a factory or manufacturing facility. Their responsibilities include:

ProductionOversee manufacturing operations, implement production processes, and ensure production standards are met

StaffingHire, train, and supervise employees, create work schedules, and assign tasks

BudgetingDevelop and implement budgets, estimate manufacturing costs, and identify ways to reduce them

Quality controlCollaborate with quality control teams to ensure finished goods meet quality standards

SafetyComply with health and safety regulations, provide training and resources to ensure production teams understand safety protocols, and analyze safety issues

ReportingPrepare production reports for senior management

CommunicationMeet with suppliers and clients to maintain and build effective relationships

Continuous improvementReview and audit production processes to identify strategies for improvement, and lead continuous improvement efforts
Factory managers should have experience in production planning and quality control systems, as well as strong communication and organizational skills.
