Position: Purchase Executive

Reports to: Purchase Manager/Head of Procurement

Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive will play a vital role in the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective purchase of raw materials, packaging, and other products required for manufacturing. The successful candidate will have strong negotiation skills, an eye for detail, and a good understanding of the FMCG industry supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers for the best prices, quality, and delivery terms.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of materials and services.
  • Procurement Coordination:
    • Manage the end-to-end procurement process from raising purchase orders to delivery and invoice processing.
    • Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies, minimizing production delays.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor stock levels and forecast procurement needs based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
    • Collaborate with the inventory team to track material consumption and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure that all purchased products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
    • Address any quality issues with suppliers promptly and work toward corrective actions.
  • Cost Control:
    • Optimize procurement costs while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
    • Continuously seek cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations or process improvements.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
    • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
