Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager for our Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) division. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and a strong track record in driving business growth through the development of new partnerships, identifying market opportunities, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. You will play a critical role in expanding our API business, bringing new clients on board, and contributing to the company's strategic vision

  • Business Development & Strategy:
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the API sector.
    • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand the company’s API portfolio and market share.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Lead negotiations and manage the commercial terms of API contracts, partnerships, and agreements.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies, CMO/CDMO partners, and other stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, etc.) to ensure customer requirements are met.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth:
    • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, focusing on both existing and new business.
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives related to the API business.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients, showcasing API products and services.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on market conditions, potential leads, and performance metrics.
    • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for business expansion.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Awareness:
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices in all business development activities.

Collaborate with regulatory and quality assurance teams to ensure products meet the required specifications and standards

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on APIs.
  • Proven experience in managing complex negotiations and building long-term business relationships.
  • Strong understanding of API market dynamics, regulatory environments, and industry standards.
