Job Description:

This role is responsible for driving the strategic planning, development, and management of working capital solutions and LAP products targeted towards small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The role requires a combination of market insight, product development skills, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to meet the financial needs of SME clients while ensuring alignment with the bank’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Strategy:

Develop, enhance, and refine the working capital products and LAP offerings for the SME segment.

Work closely with the business, risk, operations, and compliance teams to design competitive, innovative, and market-leading financial products.

Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps in the current SME financing market.

Develop pricing strategies and identify key value propositions for SME customers.

Product Lifecycle Management:

Oversee the product lifecycle, from ideation through to execution and monitoring performance.

Manage the continuous evolution of the SME Working Capital and LAP product offerings, ensuring they meet changing market conditions and regulatory requirements.

Drive product enhancements, focusing on improving customer experience, risk mitigation, and profitability.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze financial data, customer feedback, and market trends to assess product performance and profitability.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as product uptake, loan disbursement, and default rates.

Report on product performance and recommend actions based on insights to achieve business goals.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for key internal stakeholders (sales, credit, legal, risk, etc.) to ensure seamless delivery of products to customers.

Work with relationship managers to understand the needs of SME clients and offer appropriate working capital and LAP solutions.

Design and implement customer communication strategies to drive awareness and usage of the products.

Regulatory & Compliance Adherence:

Ensure that all product offerings comply with the bank’s internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to conduct regular product audits and address any compliance issues.

 

Training & Support:

Provide training and product knowledge support to internal teams (sales, credit, operations).

Develop and maintain product documentation, training materials, and user guides for internal stakeholders.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with sales, credit risk, operations, and other departments to ensure effective implementation and delivery of products.

Coordinate with marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of SME banking, working capital financing, and Loan Against Property (LAP) products.

Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop relevant products.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and product performance tracking.

In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in banking products.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other business software tools.
