About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead the growth and expansion of our Finished Dosage Forms (FDF) division. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance our FDF portfolio. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align business strategies and drive revenue growth within the global pharmaceutical market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Strategy:
- Lead and drive the business development strategy for Finished Dosage Forms (FDF), focusing on new business acquisition, partnerships, and market expansion.
- Identify and evaluate potential clients, partnerships, and market opportunities in the FDF sector, both domestically and internationally.
- Develop comprehensive business plans and proposals tailored to client needs and aligned with corporate objectives.
- Drive strategic negotiations, including pricing, terms, and agreements, to secure profitable contracts and long-term relationships.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, CMOs/CDMOs, and other partners in the FDF market.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction and the timely delivery of services.
- Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis:
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of the latest trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and customer demands in the FDF industry.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding emerging opportunities, competitive threats, and potential business risks.
- Leverage market data to identify growth opportunities and inform the development of new products or services within the FDF space.
- Revenue Growth & Sales Performance:
- Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets within the FDF division by identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, track key performance metrics, and report progress to senior leadership.
- Lead the development of targeted marketing campaigns and sales strategies to drive demand for FDF products and services.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, and quality control to ensure seamless product development and commercialization.
- Align business development efforts with operational and regulatory processes to ensure compliance and high-quality standards.
- Contract Management & Negotiation:
- Oversee the negotiation and execution of contracts, ensuring favorable terms for the company while protecting business interests.
- Manage ongoing relationships and monitor the performance of existing contracts to ensure they are meeting agreed-upon terms.
- Leadership & Mentorship:
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing training, support, and leadership to help them achieve their goals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on driving results.
Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on Finished Dosage Forms (FDF).
- Proven track record of successfully leading business development efforts, including negotiating large contracts and securing long-term partnerships
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics for FDF.
