Job Description:

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Power BI Technical Manager with a strong foundation in Data ScienceFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Cloud Data Platforms. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable BI solutions while actively engaging with clients to gather requirements, provide insights, and ensure high-impact business outcomes.

This role combines technical leadershipdata engineeringfinancial acumen, and strategic client engagement, making it a critical position in our data transformation journey

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end Power BI solution architecture, development, and delivery.

  • Translate complex business and financial requirements into actionable BI designs and analytical models.

  • Serve as the technical liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.

  • Architect and manage data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions using Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse), SQL Server, and Snowflake.

  • Implement advanced data science models and analytics using R/Python when required.

  • Define KPIs, dashboards, and visualizations for various business functions (Finance, Sales, Operations).

  • Manage a team of Power BI developers, data engineers, and analysts – mentoring and ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead client-facing discussions to manage expectations and project scope.

  • Ensure performance tuning, data governance, and security best practices are followed in all BI solutions.

  • Prepare and deliver executive presentations and project updates.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 16+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, with a focus on Power BI and Microsoft BI Stack.

  • Proven hands-on expertise in SQL, data modeling, and complex DAX expressions.

  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles; prior experience supporting FP&A, budgeting, or cost analysis teams is a must.

  • Practical experience in data science methodologies and model deployment.

  • Expertise in Azure Data Services, including Data Factory, Synapse, Blob Storage, and integration tools.

  • Experience with SnowflakeETL design, and building scalable data warehouse architectures.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both technical and business-facing.

  • Ability to translate vague requirements into clear, actionable technical deliverables.

  • Experience managing BI teams and project delivery in a client-facing environment.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate

  • Familiarity with tools like Alteryx, Python, R, or Databricks is a plus.

  • Experience in Agile project management or Scrum leadership roles.

  • Exposure to finance systems like Oracle ERP, SAP, or Workday is an advantage.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate. 
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate. 

Work Shift & Days:

  • 5 Days working (Monday to Friday)
  • Shift Timings: 1:00 - 1030 PM
  • Work mode - Work form home and worm from office for a week in once in a quarter form Bangalore office.
