JOB OVERVIEW
Mixologists play crucial roles in promoting and showcasing various alcoholic beverages, especially cocktails and mixed drinks. Their primary focus is on creating unique and appealing drink experiences for customers in bars, restaurants, hotels, resorts, and other establishments that serve alcoholic beverages. We rely heavily on skilled mixologists to elevate the consumption of its products and enhance the overall customer experience. Here's an overview of their roles and responsibilities in this specific industry:
Duties and responsibilities
 Develop and curate cocktail menus that highlight the organization's products and demonstrate creativity and innovation in mixology.
 Create unique and visually appealing cocktails using various liquor brands to showcase their versatility and flavors.
 Stay updated on industry trends and mixology techniques, incorporating new ideas into drink recipes and presentations.
 Collaborate with the organization's PR, sales, and marketing team to develop promotional materials and content related to cocktail offerings.
 Participate in mixology competitions and events to promote the organization's brands and gain recognition within the industry.
 Train and mentor other bartenders in the organization on mixology techniques and cocktail preparation.
 Work closely with the organization's sales team to support their efforts in promoting and selling liquor products to bars and restaurants.
 Assist in product development and testing, providing feedback on new liquor offerings and their suitability for use in cocktails.
 Ensure consistency in cocktail preparation and presentation across multiple locations or venues associated with the organization.
 Mixologists are often brand ambassadors for specific liquor products, promoting and recommending particular brands or signature cocktails to clients.
 Involved in organizing and participating in tasting events, product launches, and promotional activities to promote brands and increase sales.

 

Qualifications/Knowledge, Necessary Skill, Experience, and abilities requirement
• Graduate/Post Graduate or equivalent (IIHM) will be preferred.
• WSET or equivalent certificate required. (Strongly recommend)
• Awareness of responsible alcohol service and legal drinking age regulations
• Familiarity with different brands and their product portfolios within the liquor industry.
• Creativity, flair, and a passion for mixology to develop unique drinks that stand out.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eye for detail and understanding of drink-mixing tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishments.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
