Designation: Manager Accounts

Experience: CA or ICWA with 2-5 yrs experience and Inter CA or ICWA with 5-14 yrs of experience

Job Location: Mumbai, Nariman Point

Salary Range: Best in industry Mobile Reimbursement , LTA , Annual Bonus, Pf , Gratuity 

Working Days: 5 days a week (Mon to Fri) and (Sat and Sun fixed off)

Work Timings: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Summary

The Project Monitoring Officer will oversee and track the implementation of capital expenditure (Capex) projects to ensure their timely completion, adherence to budget, and alignment with corporate objectives. This role includes evaluating project performance, preparing periodic reports, identifying risks, and calculating the ROI of Capex investments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Monitoring & Tracking

• Oversee the progress of all ongoing Capex projects across the organization.
• Develop and maintain project monitoring dashboards and tools to provide real-time updates on project timelines, budgets, and key deliverables.
• Conduct regular project reviews to ensure adherence to approved plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with project teams, local SPOC and stakeholders to resolve delays, budget overruns, or other execution issues.
• Track and report milestone achievements and flag critical path delays.

2. Budget Oversight & Cost Control

• Monitor project expenditures to ensure compliance with the approved Capex budget.
• Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions to control financial overruns.
• Prepare detailed variance analysis reports for senior management.

3. Performance Reporting

• Prepare comprehensive project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and recommendations.
• Present project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Ensure transparency in reporting through structured templates and standardized practices.

4. Risk Management

• Identify potential project risks (e.g., delays, budget overflows, compliance issues) and develop mitigation strategies.
• Regularly update risk registers and follow up on risk mitigation measures with project teams.

5. Benefits Calculation & Post-Implementation Review

• Evaluate the Performance measures (financial and operational) of Capex investments post commissioning.
• Develop frameworks to calculate tangible and intangible benefits associated with projects.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and measure actual benefits achieved against initial projections.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in project monitoring tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
• Financial acumen to calculate ROI, NPV, IRR, and other financial metrics for Capex projects.

Behavioral Skills

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical
• 5–8 years of experience in project monitoring, preferably for Capex projects in manufacturing industries, preferably chemical.
• Must have excellent expertise in MS Project or Primavera*
