Job Description:

• Relevant B.Sc degrees:

  A B.Sc in Chemistry, Physics, or Material Science can be particularly beneficial as these fields provide a foundation for understanding material properties and behaviors which are crucial in fabrication.
• Entry-level roles:

  • Quality Inspector: Checking fabricated parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and compliance with quality standards, utilizing measuring tools and inspection techniques.
  • Production Trainee: Assisting in the fabrication process by learning about different fabrication techniques like welding, cutting, and assembly, gaining hands-on experience under supervision.
  • Junior Engineer: Supporting senior engineers with design calculations, material selection, and process optimization, while gradually developing technical skills.
• Skills to focus on:

  • Basic understanding of fabrication processes: Welding, cutting, machining, bending, assembly techniques.
  • Material properties knowledge: Familiarity with different metals, plastics, and their behavior under various conditions.
  • Quality control methods: Inspection techniques, dimensional tolerance analysis, quality documentation.
  • Technical drawing interpretation: Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
