DISPACH SUPERVISOR

• Order Management:

  • Receive and process customer orders, verifying product specifications and delivery requirements. 
     
  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely completion of orders based on production schedules. 
     
  • Allocate stock and manage inventory levels of finished steel products to meet dispatch demands. 
     
• Dispatch Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain detailed dispatch schedules based on customer delivery deadlines and transportation availability. 
     
  • Assign trucks and drivers to specific deliveries based on route optimization and capacity. 
     
  • Monitor delivery progress and address any potential delays or disruptions. 
     
• Logistics Coordination:

  • Collaborate with transportation providers to secure timely and cost-effective delivery options. 
     
  • Manage loading and unloading procedures at the plant to ensure proper product handling and quality control. 
     
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team for accurate product identification and packaging. 
     
• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed dispatch records including delivery dates, truck numbers, product details, and shipping documents. 
     
  • Generate reports on dispatch performance metrics like on-time delivery rates, shipping costs, and customer satisfaction. 
     
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary documentation requirements related to transportation and export regulations. 
     
• Quality Control:

  • Conduct pre-shipment inspections to verify product quality and conformance to customer specifications. 
     
  • Address any quality concerns raised by customers or internal quality teams. 
     
• Communication and Stakeholder Management:

  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding delivery updates and any potential changes. 
     
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments including production, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth dispatch operations. 
     
  • Resolve any issues related to deliveries with transportation providers and customers. 
     

• Strong understanding of steel manufacturing processes and product specifications.
• Expertise in logistics and transportation management.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills to manage complex dispatch schedules.
• Proficiency in relevant software systems for order management, inventory tracking, and dispatching.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
