Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Supervision:
    • Regularly inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols. 
       
    • Monitor contractor performance and address any quality issues or deviations from design. 
       
    • Conduct quality checks on materials and workmanship. 
       
    • Manage site logistics and coordinate with subcontractors. 
       
  • Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Assist in developing detailed project schedules, including milestones and critical paths. 
       
    • Track project progress against the schedule and identify potential delays. 
       
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. 
       
  • Cost Management:
    • Monitor project expenditures against budget. 
       
    • Analyze cost variations and identify areas for cost optimization. 
       
    • Review contractor invoices and manage cost control measures. 
       
  • Technical Support:
    • Interpret and implement engineering drawings and specifications. 
       
    • Resolve technical issues arising on site. 
       
    • Assist in design reviews and provide technical input. 
       
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including site diaries, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports. 
       
    • Prepare detailed reports on project progress, including key metrics and potential risks. 
       
    • Coordinate with project team to ensure accurate recordkeeping. 
       
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Facilitate communication between the project team, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders. 
       
    • Address concerns and resolve issues promptly 
       
 
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in civil construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulation
