Job Description:
Key Responsibilities of a QC Manager DRI:
  • Quality Standard Development and Implementation:
    • Establish and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures and standards aligned with industry regulations and company objectives. 
       
    • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all quality control activities. 
       
    • Ensure compliance with quality management systems (QMS) and relevant certifications. 
       
  • Inspection and Testing Oversight:
    • Lead a team of quality inspectors, overseeing the inspection process of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. 
       
    • Manage and interpret data from quality control testing, including statistical analysis to identify trends and potential quality issues. 
       
    • Conduct thorough investigations into non-conforming products, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. 
       
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives:
    • Champion continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to identify and eliminate quality defects. 
       
    • Analyze quality data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to enhance product quality. 
       
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality to track progress and identify areas needing attention. 
       
  • Team Management and Training:
    • Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing quality control team. 
       
    • Provide comprehensive training to quality inspectors on quality standards, testing procedures, and documentation requirements. 
       
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. 
       
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with production teams, engineering, and other departments to identify and address potential quality issues proactively. 
       
    • Communicate quality concerns and corrective actions to relevant stakeholders, including senior management. 
       
    • Prepare and present regular quality reports highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. 
       
 
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques 
     
  • Experience in leading and managing quality control teams in a manufacturing environment 
     
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and identify root causes of quality issues 
     
  • Proven ability to implement quality improvement initiatives and drive continuous improvement 
     
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams 
     
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to quality standards 
     
  • Relevant technical background in the industry, often with a degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field
