Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Near Prime Mortgage is responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to grow near-prime mortgage lending in their assigned region. This includes managing a team of sales representatives, developing relationships with brokers and lending partners, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Growth:

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve mortgage lending targets.
  • Identify growth opportunities in the near-prime mortgage market and expand the customer base.
  • Drive sales performance by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing strategic guidance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with mortgage brokers, realtors, and other referral partners.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales professionals.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to ensure individual and team success.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to keep the team informed of industry trends, products, and compliance updates.

Client & Relationship Management:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key lending partners and clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact for major accounts within the region.
  • Work closely with underwriting and operations teams to ensure smooth loan processing and customer satisfaction.

Market Analysis & Strategy:

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide feedback to senior management on product demand, pricing, and customer needs.
  • Assist in the development of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Work with internal compliance teams to address any issues or concerns.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mortgage sales, with a focus on near-prime or non-prime lending.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of near-prime mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
