Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Near Prime Mortgage is responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to grow near-prime mortgage lending in their assigned region. This includes managing a team of sales representatives, developing relationships with brokers and lending partners, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Growth:
- Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve mortgage lending targets.
- Identify growth opportunities in the near-prime mortgage market and expand the customer base.
- Drive sales performance by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing strategic guidance.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with mortgage brokers, realtors, and other referral partners.
Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales professionals.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to ensure individual and team success.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to keep the team informed of industry trends, products, and compliance updates.
Client & Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture relationships with key lending partners and clients.
- Act as the main point of contact for major accounts within the region.
- Work closely with underwriting and operations teams to ensure smooth loan processing and customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis & Strategy:
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide feedback to senior management on product demand, pricing, and customer needs.
- Assist in the development of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all sales activities adhere to regulatory and company guidelines.
- Work with internal compliance teams to address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mortgage sales, with a focus on near-prime or non-prime lending.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of near-prime mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and market dynamics.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
