Job Description:

we are looking for a Senior Elasticsearch Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Elasticsearch cluster management on AWS to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of our search and analytics platform. You will play a critical role in driving the architecture, optimization, and upgrades for Elasticsearch, as well as implementing disaster recovery strategies.

 Key Responsibilities:

 1. Elasticsearch Cluster Setup & Management:

 o Design, implement, and manage large-scale Elasticsearch clusters on AWS.

 o Set up Elasticsearch clusters from scratch, configure node types, and define the appropriate cluster architecture.

 o Integrate Elasticsearch with other services in the AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, Kinesis, etc.).

 2. Optimization & Tuning:

 o Optimize Elasticsearch clusters for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.

 o Implement best practices for indexing, querying, and managing Elasticsearch resources.

 o Analyse and resolve performance bottlenecks, including slow queries and memory optimization.

 3. Upgrades & Patching:

 o Lead the Elasticsearch upgrade process from version to version, ensuring minimal downtime.

 o Perform regular patching and security updates to maintain a secure and stable platform.

 4. Disaster Recovery Strategy (DR):

 o Define and implement disaster recovery strategies for Elasticsearch on AWS, including backup and restore procedures.

 o Ensure fault tolerance and high availability for mission-critical Elasticsearch workloads.

 5. Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

 o Set up robust monitoring for Elasticsearch clusters (e.g., using CloudWatch, Kibana, etc.).

 o Analyze logs and metrics to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
