Position Title: QC Executive
Department: Quality Control / Quality Assurance

Reporting To: Operations Head
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of elevators through systematic inspections, testing, and
adherence to regulatory standards and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and verify the quality of elevator components during manufacturing, installation, and
commissioning.
Conduct routine quality checks and audits on projects and servicing activities.
Ensure compliance with local and international standards, including safety regulations.
Develop and implement quality control procedures and checklists.
Document and report non-conformities, deviations, and corrective actions.
Collaborate with engineering, installation, and service teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Verify material quality and adherence to specifications during procurement and delivery.
Prepare quality assurance reports and maintain detailed documentation for audits.
Conduct final inspections and testing before project handover to clients.
Train teams on quality standards, best practices, and safety compliance.
Key Skills:
Strong understanding of elevator and escalator systems and components.
Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO standards, Six Sigma, etc.).
Proficiency in using inspection tools and interpreting technical drawings.
Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Educational Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Engineering.
Hand on Experience in Elevator Industry.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in quality control in the elevator industry or related fields.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
1. Inspection Efficiency:
o Timely completion of all quality checks and inspections.
o Reduction in defects detected post-installation or servicing.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
o Adherence to all safety and quality standards during project and maintenance phases.
o Successful audits with minimal or no non-conformities.
3. Problem Resolution:
o Identification and resolution of quality-related issues in collaboration with teams.
o Implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
4. Customer Satisfaction:
o Fewer client complaints related to quality issues.
o Positive feedback from clients during project handover.
5. Team Development:
o Regular training sessions conducted for technicians and engineers on quality
standards.
o Improved adherence to quality procedures across teams.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
1. Quality Inspections:
o Conducting pre-installation, in-process, and post-installation inspections of elevators.
o Performing load tests, safety checks, and final validation tests.
2. Non-Conformance Reporting:
o Identifying deviations from quality standards and documenting non-conformance
reports (NCRs).
o Analysing root causes and recommending corrective actions.
3. Compliance Management:
o Ensuring all installations comply with local building codes and elevator standards
(e.g., EN 81, ASME A17.1).
o Coordinating with regulatory bodies for necessary certifications and approvals.
4. Process Optimization:
o Reviewing and refining quality control procedures for continuous improvement.
o Conducting audits to ensure process adherence across departments.
5. Supplier and Material Quality:
o Verifying the quality of materials received from vendors.
o Collaborating with the procurement team to address material quality issues.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintaining comprehensive records of inspections, test results, and corrective
actions.
o Submitting quality assurance reports to the Quality Manager and management.
7. Team Support:
o Assisting the installation and servicing teams in resolving on-site quality challenges.
o Training team members on best practices and inspection techniques.
