Job Description:
As a General Manager for Production in a Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant, you'll oversee all aspects of the DRI production process, ensuring efficient operations, quality control, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards, while also managing personnel and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Management:
    Oversee and manage the entire DRI production process, from raw materials to finished product, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Quality Control:
    Implement and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure the DRI product meets required standards.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
  • Personnel Management:
    Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production personnel, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Budget Management:
    Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    Prepare and analyze production reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and quality control, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 
     
 
Required Qualifications and Skills:

    Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., metallurgical, industrial) or a related field. 
     
  • Experience:
    Extensive experience in DRI production, with a proven track record in production management. 
     
  • Leadership Skills:
    Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team. 
     
  • Technical Expertise:
    In-depth knowledge of DRI production processes, equipment, and safety procedures. 
     
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
    Ability to identify and resolve complex production issues effectively. 
     
  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. 
     
  • Project Management Skills:
    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budgets.
