Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities

Industrial Relations (IR) & Labor Compliance

  • Maintain harmonious industrial relations by liaising with labor unions and handling disputes
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, Factory Act, Industrial Disputes Act, and other statutory requirements.
  • Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and negotiations with employees/unions. 
  • Represent the company in labor courts, conciliations, and arbitrations if required.


HR Policies

  • Implement HR policies at the plant level in alignment with corporate guidelines. 
  • Oversee payroll, attendance, and leave management for plant employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for HR operational excellence. Employee Engagement & Welfare
  • Develop and implement employee engagement activities to boost morale and retention.
  • Address employee grievances and ensure a positive work environment.
  • Drive welfare initiatives, including health, safety, and employee well-being programs.


Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Oversee manpower planning and hiring for plant operations. 
  • Work with the corporate HR team to implement talent development programs.
  • Conduct training sessions on policies, compliance, and employee development. Performance Management & Training
  •  Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for plant employees. 
  • Conduct performance appraisals and recommend promotions/increments.
  • Facilitate training programs to enhance workforce productivity and skill development.

 

Compliance & Audits

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, wage acts, and company policies.
  • Manage HR audits and inspections from government authorities. 
  • Maintain all necessary records, reports, and documentation for compliance.


Key Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of Hr Plant Operations, labor laws, compliance, and industrial relations
  • Excellent people management and communication skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing/plant setup

Qualifications:

  • At least 8-10 years within a manufacturing / Plant experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic plant environment.
