The HR - Compliance and Benefits role is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, as well as managing employee benefits programs. This position requires a strong understanding of HR compliance requirements and the ability to design and administer effective benefits packages.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as legal counsel and regulatory agencies, to address compliance issues.
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
Coordinate with benefit providers to ensure accurate and timely enrollment, termination, and changes to employee benefit plans.
Conduct regular reviews of benefits programs to ensure competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
Educate employees on available benefits options and provide guidance on benefits-related inquiries.
Support the annual benefits open enrollment process, including communication, employee education, and system administration.
Qualification and Requisite:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master degree preferred).
Minimum of 10 - 12 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on HR compliance and benefits administration.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Familiarity with benefit plan design, administration, and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing HR data and documentation.
Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex HR and benefits information to employees.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
