        Java/J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot, WebSphere, Tomcat, AWS and/or Azure, microservices architecture and RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and security compliance, Agile and Waterfall

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Practice Lead with deep expertise in Java, open-source frameworks, and cloud platforms. This is a strategic role combining technical leadership, architecture design, team mentoring, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, best practices, and scalable solutions across enterprise-grade applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the Java/Open Source technology strategy and adoption roadmap

  • Architect and design high-performance, scalable, and secure enterprise applications

  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering cloud-native and microservices-based solutions

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams

  • Collaborate with pre-sales and business teams on solutioning, proposals, and estimations

  • Ensure alignment with DevOps, delivery, and customer success functions

  • Keep the practice updated with the latest trends, tools, and frameworks in Java and cloud ecosystems


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot

  • Expertise in middleware servers like WebSphere, Tomcat, etc.

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure

  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and security compliance

  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Working knowledge of tools like Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration

  • Awareness of open-source DevSecOps tools

  • Exposure to cloud observability, monitoring, and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)


Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management

  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Proven track record in team mentoring, coaching, and talent development

  • Highly adaptable with a passion for continuous learning
