Job Description:

Job Purpose:

To drive regional sales growth and profitability through strategic planning, market development, key account management, and effective team leadership in Pune and Rest of Maharashtra for the construction chemicals segment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Revenue Generation:

    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

    • Expand market share and penetration of construction chemicals (e.g., admixtures, waterproofing, grouts, repair products, sealants).

    • Track and analyze regional sales data to identify trends and opportunities.

  2. Business Development:

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities with contractors, applicators, consultants, architects, and infrastructure companies.

    • Build strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.

    • Monitor competitor activities and develop counter-strategies.

  3. Team Management:

    • Lead and mentor a team of Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Officers, and Technical Support staff.

    • Set clear goals, conduct regular reviews, and ensure team productivity and motivation.

    • Provide ongoing training on products, sales techniques, and market intelligence.

  4. Channel Management:

    • Develop and manage distributor/dealer networks in Pune & ROM.

    • Ensure effective stock availability, pricing control, and timely payment collection.

  5. Project & Specification Sales:

    • Work closely with specification teams and consultants to get products approved in large construction and infrastructure projects.

    • Track upcoming projects and ensure product adoption at design stage.

  6. Technical Support & Customer Service:

    • Collaborate with the technical team for on-site support, product trials, and resolving complaints.

    • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely service and quality assurance.

  7. Reporting & Compliance:

    • Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.

    • Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit norms.


Key Requirements:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech (Civil/Chemical) + MBA in Marketing (preferred)

  • Experience: 8–12 years in construction chemicals or building materials sales, with 3–5 years in a regional leadership role

  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of construction processes and chemical products

    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills

    • Ability to handle multi-channel sales and project-based selling

    • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales forecasting

  • Achievement of sales and revenue targets

  • Growth in market share and new customer acquisition

  • Distributor performance and network expansion

  • Project win ratio and specification approvals

  • Team performance and attrition rate

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

B. Tech/BBA/MBA/BSc- 10-12 Years in Sales of Construction Chemicals, tile adhesives , waterproofing
