Job Description:
Position: Asst. Manager - Quality
Location: Dahej near by Bharuch
Experience: 5 - 8 Years
Industries: Packaging
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Oversight
- To ensure the regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify potential quality issues.
- Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures based on industry standards and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve quality discrepancies, including non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Team Management
- Lead and supervise a team of Quality Control inspectors and technicians.
- Assign tasks, provide training on quality control procedures, and evaluate team performance.
- Coach and mentor staff to develop their technical expertise and quality awareness.
- Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality control activities.
- Conduct internal audits to identify areas for improvement and maintain compliance.
- R&D Support
- Coordinates and approves all sample submissions of new products and engineering changes.
- Serve as a liaison with Sales, customers, vendors' quality representatives, and Company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
- Solicit feedback from internal and external customers on what we can do to improve our deliverables to them.
- Take this feedback and develop/implement changes that effectively address these concerns.
- Develop effective relationships, with other departments, providing resources expertise, training and test methodologies for new products or process development.
- Act as a role model in demonstrating a solution oriented, collaborative approach in all R&D initiatives.
- Support technically R&D, Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing in the scale-up and process optimization of new products and technologies
- Ensure that all aspects of performance, manufacturability and quality of new products and technologies are achieved
- Process Improvement
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement process improvements to minimize defects and enhance product quality.
- Analyze root causes of quality issues and develop corrective action plans.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions and make adjustments as needed.
- Communicati on and Collaboration
- Communicate quality issues and concerns to relevant stakeholders, including production managers, supervisors, and management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of quality control practices throughout the production process.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Capability Analysis
- Perform process capability analysis.
- Work with Production team to determine estimated costs, run time, cost reduction and close the feedback loop.
- Process Engineering
- Provide Technical support for the qualification and validation of new equipment, Product and processes.
- HELP Production to prepare and review learning/training materials about manufacturing
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencies, capacities, productivity, yield improvements, and waste reduction in line with business objectives
- Utilizes “Root cause analysis” tools and implements control plans to eliminate reoccurrence of non-conformances on products.
- Contribute in developing a culture of continuous improvement and lean thinking at TIT.
- Support and facilitate Lean activities to drive Continuous Improvement programs to meet business objectives.

- Experience in setting up and running quality assurances systems and SOPs.
