Job Description:

 

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for plant-based positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
    • Coordinate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective job descriptions.
    • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are well-integrated into the company culture and plant operations.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
    • Proactively address employee grievances and support conflict resolution in a fair and timely manner.
    • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and enhance morale.
    • Support initiatives related to workplace safety and health (EHS) in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • HR Administration and Operations:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and in the HRIS.
    • Manage HR documentation, including employment contracts, letters, and policy updates.
    • Assist in payroll processing and benefits administration.
    • Prepare HR-related reports and analytics as required.
  • Performance Management and Development:
    • Support the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely completion and constructive feedback.
    • Assist in identifying training needs for plant employees and coordinate training programs.
    • Support career development initiatives within the plant.
  • Compliance and Industrial Relations (IR):
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, factory acts, and statutory requirements relevant to a chemical plant.
    • Assist in maintaining harmonious industrial relations and liaising with worker representatives or unions where applicable.
    • Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and HR best practices.
    • Support in handling disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Policy Implementation and Communication:
    • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
    • Ensure employees understand and adhere to company policies.
