Job Description
Processing payroll by consolidating data calculation and entering of data.
Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in
exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers.
Knowledge of Income Tax, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act and PSI,ESI and
Professional tax.
Should have handled the following activities relating to statutory
compliance, ETDS Return & submission, Deduction & remittance of
Income tax, &Issue of Form 16 and Filing of IT returns, Deduction and
remittance of PF, ESI & Profession tax, Filing of statutory returns
periodically.
Calculation of perquisite, arrears & Investment declaration.
Handling Claims & Reimbursement.
Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of
paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely. Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax
procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to
best-practice operations.
Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross
payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit
deductions, etc.)
Complies with legal requirements by studying existing
and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements Advising
management on needed actions.
Qualification: Any Graduate
