Job Description:

Operating forklifts:This includes maneuvering the forklift safely and efficiently to move goods, stack pallets, and load or unload trucks.

Loading and unloading:Moving materials from trucks, containers, or rail cars into the facility and vice versa.

Material handling:Locating, moving, and stacking materials within the facility, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.

Inventory management:Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, and updating inventory levels.
Other Important Responsibilities:

Safety:Following all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, including wearing appropriate PPE and reporting any hazards.

Maintenance:Performing minor maintenance tasks on the forklift, such as checking fluids and reporting any malfunctions.

Communication:Communicating effectively with supervisors and other workers to ensure smooth operations.

Quality control:Identifying and reporting any damages or shortages in materials received or shipped.

Documentation:Keeping accurate records of materials moved, inventory levels, and completed tasks.

Compliance:Adhering to company policies and guidelines, as well as relevant safety regulations.
