Job Description:

Position:          Instrument Engineer

Location:         Mehsana

Experience:      4 - 5 Years

Industries:      Pharma - API

Responsibilities:

  • Instrumentation Installation & Maintenance:
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, loop wiring, and maintenance of industrial instruments such as.
  • Control valves, on/off valves, safety valves, PCV, PRV.
  • Flow meters (mass, magnetic, orifice, vortex).
  • Level transmitters (Radar, DPT, Gauges, Ultrasonic).
  • Pressure transmitters and gauges.
  • Load cells, weighing balances, tank weighing systems.
  • MCC–DCS/PLC wiring and associated instrumentation.
  • Pressure, proximity, and level switches.
  • Control Systems & Automation:
  • Strong understanding of on/off controllers, PID controllers, I/P converters, pneumatic controls, and actuators.
  • Support and perform modifications and maintenance of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems in coordination with senior engineers.
  • Calibration & Technical Documentation:
  • Lead calibration and preventive maintenance activities for instruments such as control valves, LT, PT, MFT, RTD, T/C, etc.
  • Interpret and use P&IDs, instrument hook-up drawings, GA drawings, and cable schedules effectively.
  • Ensure accurate documentation including history cards, calibration reports, catalogues, and logbooks.
  • Troubleshooting & Project Execution:
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for instrument-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in the execution of instrumentation tasks for new projects and ensure timely commissioning of new instruments.
  • Inventory & Spare Parts Management:
  • Coordinate with the purchase and stores departments for spare part.
  • planning, vendor development, and inventory optimization.
  • Identify critical spares and assist in import substitution where applicable.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory documentation and internal audit requirements.
  • Adhere to all plant safety procedures and contribute to maintaining process safety systems.
  • Team Coordination & System Transactions:
  • Support and supervise junior technicians as required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and transactions related to maintenance and procurement are completed through SAP or ERP system.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Report quality concerns and suggest process improvements.
  • Drive initiatives for enhancing equipment reliability and plant efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in field instrumentation and automation.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.
  • Proficiency in instrument calibration and project documentation.
  • Familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

 

Required Qualification: - B.E/B.Tech - Instrumentation

Salary :- Upto 6.00 LPA
