Job Description:

Job Title: Associate Manager – CASA (Current Account Savings Account)

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Department: Retail Banking
Reports To: Branch Manager / Sales Manager


Job Purpose:

The Associate Manager – CASA is responsible for driving the acquisition of new customers for Current and Savings Accounts. The role focuses on building a strong CASA portfolio through effective field sales, cross-selling banking products, and ensuring high levels of customer service and retention.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition:

    • Source new customers for Savings and Current Accounts through field visits, referrals, cold calling, and lead conversions.

    • Execute promotional and sales activities in the catchment area to increase CASA penetration.

  • Sales and Cross-Selling:

    • Achieve monthly CASA targets as defined by the bank.

    • Identify customer needs and offer suitable bank products including loans, insurance, debit/credit cards, and investment services.

    • Promote digital banking adoption among new and existing customers.

  • Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to improve customer retention.

    • Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.

  • Compliance and Documentation:

    • Ensure proper documentation of all account opening and KYC compliance.

    • Adhere to all bank policies, processes, and guidelines.

  • Market Intelligence:

    • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

    • Provide feedback to leadership on market insights to improve offerings.


Key Skills Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Sales acumen and ability to work under pressure

  • Good knowledge of banking products, especially CASA

  • Ability to build relationships and handle objections

  • Proficient in MS Office and digital banking platforms


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (preferably commerce or business-related)

  • 1–3 years of experience in banking sales or financial services, preferably in CASA acquisition

  • Freshers with strong sales aptitude may also be considered
