3. Job Position Summary |
Responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals.
Sales presentations, product promotions and product demonstrations, assistant & guidance to the subordinate team, submitting techno-commercial proposals, negotiating orders with potential customers.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role is an advantage. |
4. Key responsibilities |
1) Study of the products in SBU Product Basket, Company Activities, Potential Market Segments & further Knowledge Updation. 2) Searching New Customers, Market Segments and Applications. 3) Listing prospective customers / buyers & send them intro-mailers. 4) Visiting the potential customers (New & Existing). 5) Deliver Product Presentations & Demos, Company Profile & Product Catalogs. 6) Generating enquiries. 7) Selection of Products, Systems, Solutions to offer to the customer. 8) Preparing BOM and taking approval the concerned senior authority. 9) Submitting Techno-Commercial Proposal to the customers. 10) Quotation Follow-Ups (Calls & Visits), Order Negotiations & Finalization. 11) Submit Checklist for the order(s) received to OPD approval the concerned senior authority. 12) Track Order Execution. 13) Submit Dispatch Documentation to the customer(s). 14) Handle Payment Receipts / Commercial recoveries as per agreed terms with the customers 15) Submit periodical reports (Weekly/ Bi-Weekly /Monthly) of Sales Visits 16) Prepare MIS Reports for Enquiries Generated, Orders Booked & Orders Lost, New Customers generated & upcoming project opportunities. 17) Assistance & guidance to the junior engineers in Sales Activities 18) Study of the competition in the market, further knowledge Updation & reporting to the senior. 19) Clustering OEM Customers & repeat business buyers. 20) Search of New Application Segments & OEMs in prominent Industrial Areas |
5. Desired Qualification / certifications |
Preferable B.E. (Mechanical / Electronics ) from reputed engineering college / university Optional : Diploma with relevant work experience of minimum 3-5 years, Additional Qualifications : a) Certificate Course ( 6 / 12 months) in Factory Automation (Preferred) b) PGDMM |
6. Preferred relevant work experience |
3 to 4 years experience in Sales of Factory Automation Products & Systems, mainly Industrial Motors & VFDs, Servo Motors & Drives, Miniature DC Motors & Drives, Stepper Motors, Linear Motors, PLCs, Motion Controls, Planetary Gearboxes, Linear Motion Products in Engineering Industry. |
7. Skills and knowledge |
1) Excellent written and oral communication skills (English, Hindi & Local Language) 2) Sound Technical Knowledge of the product lines & market segments 3) Deep understanding Sales Process & Dynamics 4) Creativity to approach sales and build customer relationships 5) Commitment to excellent customer service & support 6) Team Working ability 7) Analytical & problem solving skills |
