Job Description:
Tool and Die Maker (Press Tools)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Fabrication:
    Interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to create new tools and dies, or modify existing ones. 
     
  • Material Selection:
    Choosing appropriate materials based on their properties and project specifications. 
     
  • Machine Operation:
    Setting up and operating various machine tools (e.g., milling machines, lathes, grinders) to shape and fabricate tool components. 
     
  • Assembly and Fitting:
    Assembling the various parts of the tool or die, ensuring precise fit and function. 
     
  • Quality Control:
    Inspecting finished tools and dies for accuracy, smoothness, and adherence to specifications. 
     
  • Maintenance and Repair:
    Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on tools and dies to ensure optimal performance and longevity. 
     
  • Collaboration:
    Working closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure tools meet manufacturing requirements.
