Job Description:

Job Title: Business Development Officer – CASA
Department: Liabilities – Retail Banking
Location: [Specify Branch / Region]
Reports To: Branch Manager / Sales Manager


Job Purpose:

To drive customer acquisition for Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) and cross-sell bank products while maintaining high service standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new customers for CASA through field visits, cold calling, referrals, and leads provided by the bank.

  • Generate leads and build a pipeline for sustainable business growth in the catchment area.

  • Conduct activities (camps, promotions, door-to-door visits) to promote the bank’s products.

  • Cross-sell other retail products such as Fixed Deposits, Recurring Deposits, Insurance, and Loans.

  • Maintain regular follow-up with customers and provide after-sales service.

  • Ensure adherence to KYC, AML, and other regulatory guidelines while onboarding customers.

  • Work closely with the branch team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the bank.


Key Skills Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good understanding of banking products, especially CASA

  • Local market knowledge and networking skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets

  • Basic computer proficiency


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in any discipline (preferably commerce or finance)

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, preferably in banking, NBFC, or financial services

  • Freshers with good communication skills and interest in field sales may also apply
