Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives and operational excellence across plants.
  • Drive culture transformation, employee engagement, and change management initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.

Plant HR Management

  • Oversee HR operations at all manufacturing units, ensuring alignment and compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Lead industrial relations (IR) and union negotiations to maintain harmonious labor relations.
  • Monitor and improve shop floor HR practices including discipline, attendance, grievance redressal, and morale.

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Lead recruitment strategies to ensure timely hiring of skilled and blue collar talent.
  • Implement robust training programs to upskill plant workforce, line managers, and leadership teams.
  • Build a pipeline of future leaders through competency development and performance management.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across all units (Factories Act, ESI, PF, etc.).
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments related to labor laws and safety norms.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Design competitive and cost effective compensation structures for white and blue collar employees.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and lead C&B rationalization efforts.

HR Systems & Analytics

  • Leverage HR technology and analytics for informed decision making and process automation.
  • Implement and upgrade HRMS systems as required.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven experience in handling large scale, multi location HR operations in manufacturing.
  • Strong IR capabilities, especially in managing unions, settlements, and compliance.
  • Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of operational challenges on the shop floor.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and workmen alike.
  • Proficiency in HR metrics, analytics, and digital HR tools.
