Job Description:

Job : Quality Head

Location, Chinchwad, Pune,

Experience: 6-9 years,

Education: B tech/Diploma in Electronics/Electrical

Experience in Quality control of a PLC panel manufacturing company. Also Experience of Quality control in fabrication/enclosures.

 

Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing quality management systems (QMS):
This includes establishing procedures, standards, and documentation for all quality-related activities within the manufacturing process.

Conducting quality audits and inspections:
Regularly assessing the quality of incoming materials, fabrication/enclosures, in-process production, and finished PLC panels to identify and address any deviations from Design drawings/GA and standards.

Ensuring compliance with standards:
Adhering to relevant industry standards (e.g., UL, CE, IEC, BS, IS, IEEE) and customer specifications.

Managing and training quality control personnel:
Leading and motivating a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing guidance and training on quality procedures and best practices.

Analysing quality data and implementing corrective actions:
Utilizing statistical analysis and other methods to identify root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve quality and prevent recurrence.

Working with suppliers:
Evaluating and auditing suppliers ( Outsourced Customized SS/MS enclosures vendors/Cotmac Fabrication shop) to ensure they meet quality standards, and collaborating with them to resolve quality issues related to components or materials.

Maintaining quality documentation and reporting:
Creating and maintaining accurate records of all quality-related activities, including inspection results, test data, and corrective actions.

Utilizing relevant software and tools:
Proficiency in using IT tools such as SAP, MS Office, and AutoCAD for quality management and documentation.

Participating in product design and development:
Providing input on quality aspects during the design phase and ensuring that products are designed to meet quality standards and customer requirements.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong technical knowledge of PLC panels:
Understanding the components, functionality, and manufacturing processes of PLC panels.

Experience with quality management systems (QMS):
Familiarity with implementing and maintaining QMS, including ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills:
Ability to analyse data, identify root causes of quality issues, and implement effective solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.

Leadership and team management skills:
Ability to lead and motivate a team of quality control personnel.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools:
Experience with quality management software, data analysis tools, and design software.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations:
Familiarity with standards such as CE,UL, IEC, BS, IS, and IEEE.

Experience in vendor management and auditing:
Ability to evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure they meet quality requirements.

Continuous improvement mindset:
A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance quality and efficiency.
