Position: Merchandiser Cum Designer

Reporting To: Design Head / Merchandising Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Create original design concepts, mood boards, and tech packs for collections

• Work closely with clients/buyers to understand design briefs and requirements

• Develop samples and coordinate with sampling & production teams

• Source fabrics, trims, and other raw materials for designs

• Conduct trend research and competitor analysis for seasonal collections

• Prepare cost sheets and finalize pricing with internal teams

• Manage client communication and follow up on orders and approvals

• Coordinate with production for timelines, quality, and delivery

• Maintain accurate records of design, sampling, and order status

• Attend buyer meetings, trade shows, and exhibitions as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field

• 1–3 years of experience as a merchandiser and/or fashion designer

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar tools

• Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production cycles

• Excellent communication and time management skills
