Job Description:
Project Manager – Experience 10 – 15 years (2 Nos.)
Responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects. Ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the defined objectives. Leads project team, coordinates resource, manages stakeholders, and ensures that the project aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline project timelines, resources, costs, and risk management strategies.
- Identify project requirements, allocate resources, and set expectations with all stakeholders.
- Work with key stakeholders to define project objectives and establish a clear roadmap for achieving them.
- Lead and manage project teams, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
- Assign tasks and resources to team members based on their skills and the project requirements.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, clients, and team members.
- Communicate project goals, updates, and changes to all stakeholders effectively, ensuring alignment with expectations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding timelines, costs, and scope, and address any concerns or issues proactively.
- Facilitate regular project meetings with stakeholders to track progress, discuss challenges, and align on decisions.
- Identify potential risks and issues early in the project and develop mitigation plans.
- Manage project risks, making timely decisions to ensure that the project remains on track and within scope.
- Monitor and adjust plans as necessary to handle unexpected challenges or changes in the project environment.
- Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and that costs are kept within budget.
- Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that financial goals are met.
- Ensure that required resources (human, technological, or financial) are available and efficiently utilized throughout the project.
- Forecast future project costs and adjust resources or schedules as needed to stay on track financially.
- Track project progress using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello) to ensure tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Monitor performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as milestone completion, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Report on project status, including milestones, risks, and financials, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Use project management software to update timelines, resources, and priorities as necessary to reflect changes in scope or objectives.
- Ensure that the project meets the agreed-upon quality standards by developing and enforcing quality assurance processes.
- Oversee the testing and validation of project deliverables to ensure they meet the defined specifications and requirements.
- Manage and communicate any changes to the project scope, timeline, or budget to all stakeholders.
- Implement change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions when changes occur within the project.
- Document and track all changes made to the project scope or deliverables to maintain project integrity and transparency.
Skill Required
- Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage projects effectively depending on scope and requirements.
- Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or other project management frameworks and techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience in conflict resolution, fostering collaboration, and maintaining high team morale.
- Ability to delegate tasks, track progress, and provide guidance to team members.
- Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
- Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management, with the ability to forecast costs, track expenses, and adjust budgets as needed.
- Ability to optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient use of people, time, and money.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to create clear reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and negotiating project constraints.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address challenges quickly and effectively.
- Able to make decisions under pressure, balancing project goals, stakeholder expectations, and resource constraints.
- Proficient in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Trello, Jira, Asana, or Basecamp.
- Familiar with tools for time tracking, collaboration, and document management
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in time management techniques and tools to keep projects on track.
Experience Required
- 10-15 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects successfully across industries.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects with competing priorities.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certifications are highly desirable.
Education Details
Minimum B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Tech. or Four Years Graduate program in Computers/IT or equivalent from a recognized Institute/University on company's payroll
