Job Description:

Sr. Business Analyst – Experience 6-10 Years (4 Nos.)

Serves as a critical link between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into technical requirements for system development or process improvements. Work to optimize business processes, increase efficiency, and improve overall performance by identifying opportunities for improvement and defining solutions that meet both business and technical needs. They are expected to have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to facilitate communication between various team.

 

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders (business users, managers, executives) to gather and document business requirements, objectives, and desired outcomes.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and observations to gather and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze and break down business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for development teams.
  • Map and model current business processes using tools such as flowcharts or BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for process improvement and propose actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design optimized business processes that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Facilitate process reengineering initiatives and assist in the implementation of new workflows or systems.
  • Work closely with technical teams to design and propose solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to technical constraints.
  • Document functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and process flows to guide development and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specification documents (FSDs), and other technical documentation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and IT or project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Define test cases based on business requirements to ensure that developed solutions meet expectations and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure that solutions are properly tested and validated against the business needs.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure the system meets business requirements before deployment.
  • Work alongside project managers to define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resources needed.
  • Assist in the development and execution of change management plans to ensure smooth transitions during the implementation of new systems or processes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and business stakeholders on new systems, tools, or processes, ensuring they are fully capable of utilizing the solution.
  • Create user manuals, help guides, and training materials for business users.

 

Skill Required

 

  • Strong ability to analyze complex business problems, break them down into manageable components, and propose viable solutions.
  • Proficiency in identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders to gather and document detailed, clear business and technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, and other documentation.
  • Experience with process mapping and modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Bizagi to visualize current and future state processes.
  • Familiarity with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and other methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello, Balsamiq, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, CRM software, or industry-specific applications can be beneficial.
  • Ability to manage and support organizational change during the implementation of new systems, processes, or technology.

 

Experience Required

  • 6-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of successfully delivering business solutions.
  • Experience in working on cross-functional teams, managing requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders from different departments.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are desirable.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies can be beneficial.

 

Education Details

Minimum B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Tech. or Four Years Graduate program in Computers/IT or equivalent from a recognized Institute/University on company's payroll
