Job Description:
A mechanic helper provides crucial support to automotive mechanics by assisting with various tasks related to vehicle repair and maintenance. This role involves tasks like preparing tools and equipment, cleaning work areas, performing routine maintenance (oil changes, etc.), assisting with more complex repairs, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace. They often handle preliminary diagnostics and minor repairs under supervision, and may also be involved in administrative duties like logging work and ordering supplies.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting Mechanics:Helpers work alongside mechanics, performing tasks such as removing and replacing parts, disassembling and reassembling components, and performing routine maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations.

Maintaining a Safe and Efficient Workspace:This includes cleaning work areas, organizing tools and equipment, and ensuring a safe environment for everyone in the garage.

Performing Routine Maintenance:Helpers assist with tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, and other basic maintenance procedures.

Assisting with Repairs:Helpers support mechanics in more complex repairs, such as brake replacements, engine work, and electrical system repairs.

Handling Administrative Tasks:This may include logging work completed, ordering parts and supplies, and communicating with customers about repair needs.
