SR. PURCHASE OFFICER FOR ROLLING MILL - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, terms, and pricing, and resolve disputes.
- Purchase Order Management: Create, process, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policy.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with vendors.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, coordinate with warehouse staff, and manage material flow to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Cost Savings: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and ensure purchases stay within budget.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Reporting: Prepare procurement reports, track spend, and present findings to management.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments (operations, program teams) to understand needs and specifications.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, often with industry-specific knowledge (e.g., textiles, garments).
- Skills: Strong negotiation, relationship building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical: Proficiency in ERP/procurement software and strong understanding of inventory principles.
