Job Description:
A Mechanical Manager (AGM) leads and manages the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring smooth operations, timely completion of maintenance tasks, and efficient equipment uptime. They develop and implement maintenance strategies, conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Essentially, they are responsible for the overall mechanical health and performance of a facility or operation.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:Manage and mentor mechanical technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.

Maintenance Strategy:Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures to maximize equipment availability.

Equipment Management:Conduct regular inspections, identify maintenance needs, and prioritize tasks based on criticality and production schedules.

Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures, minimizing downtime and maintaining production targets.

Compliance:Ensure adherence to safety regulations, standards, and procedures.

Resource Management:Coordinate with other departments, manage spare parts inventory, and optimize resource allocation.

Performance Monitoring:Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance, equipment reliability, and safety.
Additional Responsibilities:

Budget Management:May be involved in developing and managing the maintenance budget.

Project Management:May oversee minor maintenance projects or participate in larger capital expenditure projects.

Training and Development:May be involved in training staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
