Job Description:
The plant supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations to ensure efficiency, safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and industry standards. This includes supervision of housekeeping, managing vendor relationships, coordinating AMC services, and ensuring readiness of fire safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Plant Operations Supervision:

• Oversee day-to-day production and plant activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with internal departments (maintenance, quality, logistics, etc.).

Housekeeping Supervision:

• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of plant premises through regular supervision of the housekeeping team.
• Implement 5S practices and monitor their adherence.

Vendor Sourcing & Negotiation:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for supplies, maintenance, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Maintain vendor performance records.

AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) Coordination:

• Coordinate with service providers for AMC of equipment and utilities.
• Schedule routine checks and ensure timely maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
• Maintain records of all AMC agreements and service reports.

Fire Fighting & Safety:

• Possess working knowledge of firefighting systems and protocols.
• Coordinate fire safety drills and ensure equipment (extinguishers, alarms, hydrants) is functional and up to date.
• Liaise with safety officers and external agencies as needed.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and submit operational and safety reports to management.

Candidates Profile:

• Diploma/degree in engineering or industrial management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in plant operations or a supervisory role in a manufacturing unit.
• Team supervision and people management
• Vendor management and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of AMC procedures and preventive maintenance
• Fire safety systems and emergency coordination
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP preferred)
