Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled SAP FI L1 Support Consultant with a strong understanding of business processes to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for incident management and providing basic Level 1 (L1) support for SAP FI (Financial Accounting) modules. This role requires a solid understanding of SAP FI functionalities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Incident Management:
- Receive, analyze, and resolve Level 1 incidents related to SAP FI within defined SLA.
- Log and track incidents using the designated ticketing system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement timely solutions.
- Basic L1 Support:
- Provide first-line support for SAP FI end-users.
- Assist users in navigating the SAP system and address basic functional queries.
- Escalate issues to higher support levels when necessary.
- Business Process Understanding:
- Develop a deep understanding of the organization's financial business processes related to SAP FI.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into SAP FI solutions.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain documentation for incident resolutions, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for the support team.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in SAP FI support activities.
- Propose and implement enhancements to optimize system performance.
- Communication:
- Effectively communicate with end-users and other support teams to provide updates on incident resolution status.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and convey technical information in a user-friendly manner.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in SAP FI support with a focus on Level 1 incident management.
- Strong understanding of SAP FI functionalities and integration with other SAP modules.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
- Basic knowledge of SAP ABAP and debugging is a plus.
- SAP certification in FI is preferred.
