Job Title: Entertainment Reporter

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

• Write clear, engaging, and error-free stories in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

• Identify and develop original stories in the domains of entertainment, city life, and lifestyle.

• Report on the Kannada and South Indian film and television industries, leveraging prior reporting experience in the field.

• Ensure timely delivery of stories and meet editorial deadlines consistently.

• Create multimedia content, especially short-form videos, to accompany written articles.

• Monitor and capitalize on social media trends to generate engaging content.

• Collaborate with editors and designers for page-making tasks including editing and proofreading.

• Attend press conferences, premieres, and industry events to gather exclusive insights.

• Conduct interviews with celebrities, influencers, and key figures in the entertainment industry.

• Maintain journalistic ethics while sourcing and publishing content.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent command of English with strong writing and editing skills.

• Working knowledge of Kannada and familiarity with the local film and TV scene.

• Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field (preferred).

• Previous experience in entertainment reporting is a plus.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.

• Proficiency in video production and editing tools is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of digital media and social media platforms.
