Territory Sales Manager
Job Description:
Key Functional Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management:
✓ To identify the key stakeholders of customers, promote our products and services to them, and
generate substantial enquiry volume.
✓ To develop trust, relationships with key decision makers and senior management of customers to
achieve / exceed order booking targets. To ensure customer does not turn to the competition.
✓ To meet order booking target, by building and maintaining strong rapport with the senior
management and key decision makers of the customers.
✓ To identify new business opportunities and partnerships with the Power Utilities, Industries,
Renewable Energy, EPCs and other relevant sectors.
✓ To carry out product / sales promotion activities / conduct seminars & exhibition.
Sales & Business Development:
✓ To achieve budgeted revenue targets, while maintaining a robust bottom-line.
✓ To ensure healthy cash flow and timely collection of payments.
✓ To collaborate and follow-up with internal teams / vendors / OEMs, and offer effective solutions
to customers.
✓ To gather market intelligence and information on competition and their activities in the market.
✓ To efficiently plan customer meetings and submit daily activity reports.
✓ Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and presentations to senior management.
Essential Behavioural Traits:
✓ Strong interpersonal skills, polite, friendly and diplomatic approach.
✓ Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Must be able to speak and
understand the local language (Odia / Bengali / Assamese).
✓ Sound techno-commercial knowledge, keen and quick learner.
✓ Goal oriented and strategic thinking skills.
✓ The ability to prioritize and manage several different tasks at once.
✓ Ability to work independently and willingness to travel as required.
Education / Experience Requirements:
✓ Engineering / Diploma Background, with in-depth knowledge of the Electrical Products and
Services Market in Odisha, Chhattisgarh (for OD position) and in West Bengal, Assam, North East
(for WB position).
✓ Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Technical Business Development and B2B sales,
preferably in the Power Transmission & Distribution, Industries and EPC segments.
✓ Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
