Location: Grant Road, Mumbai – 400007
Reports To: Head – Operations
Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Renewable)
CTC: Best As Per Industry
Industry: Hospitality / QSR / F&B / Retail (Food Industry)


Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail outlet under RTI Foods by Sir Ratan Tata Institute. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, service-focused, and passionate about food and customer satisfaction. This role combines operations, sales, team management, customer service, and inventory control.


Key Responsibilities:

A. Stock & Inventory Management

  • Receive and reconcile fresh and packaged items with the stock sheet.

  • Return unsold items at the end of the day and tally stock movements.

  • Maintain accurate opening and closing stock records.

  • Monitor expiry dates and return close-to-expiry items to the kitchen/godown.

  • Ensure hygienic storage with proper temperature settings and labeling.

B. Sales Forecasting & Order Management

  • Forecast daily demand based on sales trends and customer feedback.

  • Place kitchen orders accordingly to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

  • Analyze daily sales reports and item-wise breakdown.

  • Manage Swiggy/Zomato listings and availability updates.

C. Billing & Cash Handling

  • Ensure accurate billing via POS (Pet Pooja preferred) – cash, card, UPI, and online orders.

  • Reconcile daily sales with inventory and payment modes.

  • Maintain and share daily sales reports with Head – Operations.

D. Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Ensure staff are aware of allergens and handle queries responsibly.

  • Build and maintain a database of regular customers.

  • Make a minimum of 5 follow-up or sales calls daily.

  • Resolve customer complaints and improve service experience.

  • Recommend seasonal menu updates based on customer feedback.

E. Staff Management & Training

  • Supervise staff duties, conduct daily briefings, and delegate tasks effectively.

  • Train team on food items, customer interaction, grooming, and hygiene.

  • Ensure professional grooming standards are consistently maintained.

F. Store Hygiene & Appearance

  • Maintain a clean and attractive display with correct labelling (Veg/Non-Veg).

  • Ensure brand-standard food presentation before store opening.

  • Oversee overall store cleanliness: cold counters, cabinets, pantry, etc.

G. Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform daily checks on air conditioning, lighting, and essential equipment.

  • Report and coordinate timely maintenance with service providers.

H. Order Coordination

  • Maintain a detailed order book with customer information and packaging needs.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all customer orders and deliveries.

  • Communicate last-minute updates with kitchen and customers as needed.

I. Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze daily/monthly sales reports with actionable insights.

  • Participate in annual planning with the Head – Operations, Head Chef, and Sales Lead.

  • Conduct daily staff reviews to assess sales performance and set targets.


Requirements:

  • Experience: 2–3 years in a similar role (Hospitality, QSR, or F&B preferred; retail backgrounds accepted) (Food Industry)

  • Skills:

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    • Basic knowledge of MS Excel

    • POS experience preferred (Pet Pooja system used)

  • Gender: Open to Male and Female candidates

  • Location Preference: Candidates residing in or near Grant Road, Mumbai

  • Travel: Occasional visits to other stores (approx. once a week) – travel allowance provided


Working Conditions:

  • Working Days: 6 days/week (1 weekly off) – includes working on national/festival holidays

  • Holiday Policy: Compensatory off or extra pay for holiday shifts

  • Working Hours: Flexible within 8:30 AM – 9:30 PM (9-hour shift daily)
