ACCOUNTANT (MINING) - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

The Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, handling taxation and compliance matters, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The role requires knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and familiarity with financial software.

📌 Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records, including journal entries, sales, purchases, and expenses.

• Prepare and manage invoices, bills, and vouchers.

• Perform bank reconciliation, cash book maintenance, and ledger postings.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently.

• Prepare GST returns, TDS filings, and assist with income tax and other statutory compliance.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements like Balance Sheet, P&L Account, and Cash Flow Statements.

• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.

• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.

• Maintain inventory and asset register (if required).

• Operate accounting software like Tally ERP, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.

• Prepare periodic reports for management analysis.

🎓 Qualifications:

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent

• Certification in Tally ERP / GST / Taxation (preferred)

• Familiarity with Indian tax laws and accounting standards

🧠 Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

• Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and accounting software

• Good analytical and numerical ability

• Attention to detail and time management

• Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax
