Job Description:

 Position:        Account Head

Location:        Ville Parle - Mumbai

Experience:     5 - 6 Years

Industries:      Chemical

Responsibilities:       

• Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Lead and manage the overall accounting function including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per applicable accounting standards (IND AS / IFRS).
• Monitor and ensure accurate cost accounting for raw materials, production, and finished goods.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.
• Coordinate audits with internal, statutory, and tax auditors.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations including pollution control board filings, hazardous waste documentation, and other environmental levies (as applicable).
• Team Leadership & Coordination
• Lead a team of accountants and finance executives, ensuring timely and accurate task execution.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales teams for smooth financial operations.
• Collaborate with external consultants, banks, and government bodies when required.
• Cost & Inventory Management
• Analyze costing and pricing strategies, especially with raw materials, solvents, intermediates, and packaging materials.
• Oversee inventory valuations and stock reconciliations in coordination with the stores and production departments.
• Implement controls to reduce wastage and manage working capital efficiently.
• Strategic & MIS Reporting
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Provide timely MIS reports and financial analysis to support management decisions.
• Contribute to strategic financial planning, investment appraisals, and feasibility studies.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of cost accounting in manufacturing, especially chemicals.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime).
• In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• High integrity and attention to detail.

Required Qualification: - M.Com/MBA - Finance

Salary: - Upto 12.00 LPA
