Job Description:

Job Purpose:

To design, deliver, and evaluate sales training programs that enhance the selling skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement abilities of front-line banking staff, ensuring achievement of business targets and superior customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Delivery

    • Conduct classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions for Relationship Managers, Branch Sales Officers, and other sales staff.

    • Train employees on banking products (CASA, loans, insurance, investments, credit cards, etc.), sales processes, and customer handling skills.

    • Facilitate role plays, simulations, and practical exercises to improve real-world selling capabilities.

  2. Training Content Development

    • Design training modules, presentations, and learning materials aligned with sales strategies and regulatory requirements.

    • Customize programs based on business needs, product launches, and skill gaps.

  3. Performance Enhancement

    • Work closely with sales managers to identify capability gaps and create tailored training interventions.

    • Coach employees individually for improving pitch, cross-sell/upsell techniques, and objection handling.

  4. Assessment & Feedback

    • Evaluate participants through tests, assessments, and performance in role plays.

    • Provide constructive feedback and track improvement over time.

    • Prepare post-training reports and share insights with sales leadership.

  5. Stakeholder Management

    • Collaborate with product teams, compliance, and sales leaders to ensure accurate and updated training delivery.

    • Partner with HR for employee development plans.

  6. Compliance & Quality

    • Ensure training content complies with banking regulations and internal audit standards.

    • Promote ethical sales practices and customer-centric selling.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of banking products and sales processes.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate sales teams.

  • Proficiency in role plays, sales simulations, and coaching techniques.

  • Analytical mindset to measure training effectiveness.

  • Familiarity with digital training tools / LMS platforms.
