Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Process Monitoring and Control:

    • Operate the DCS console to monitor and control process variables such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and levels.

    • Analyze real-time data, trend logs, and graphics to maintain all parameters within the operational envelope.

    • Perform routine checks and adjustments to control systems to ensure stable and efficient production.

  • Safety and Emergency Response:

    • Respond immediately to alarms and deviations by implementing established emergency procedures.

    • Initiate timely and safe shutdowns of equipment or the entire plant in case of emergencies, as directed by the Shift Supervisor.

    • Work in strict compliance with all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and regulations.

    • Participate in safety drills, risk assessments, and process hazard analyses (HAZOPs).

  • Coordination and Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with field operators to coordinate activities such as equipment startups, shutdowns, and maintenance.

    • Report any process abnormalities, equipment faults, or safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor and concerned departments.

    • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality control teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.

    • Provide clear and concise handovers to the incoming shift operator.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and detailed operational records, including log sheets, production data, and incident reports.

    • Prepare and submit routine reports on process performance, production metrics, and material consumption.

    • Document all changes in operational procedures and system configurations.

  • Process Optimization and Improvement:

    • Analyze process data and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.

    • Assist in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, reliability, and productivity.
