Job Title: Assistant Manager – Exim

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager – Exim to manage and oversee all export-import operations for our gems and jewellery division. The role involves handling international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs and DGFT regulations, coordinating with freight forwarders, and maintaining strong documentation control to support smooth global trade operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end export and import operations including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics for gems and jewellery.

• Ensure compliance with DGFT, RBI, Customs, SEZ, and other regulatory authorities.

• Handle shipping bills, export invoices, packing lists, e-BRC, LUT, and bank documentation.

• Coordinate with shipping lines, CHA, freight forwarders, banks, and insurance agencies for timely movement of goods.

• Track and monitor shipments, resolve delays, and ensure on-time delivery.

• Maintain records of export incentives, MEIS/RODTEP benefits, and other government schemes.

• Prepare MIS reports on Exim activities, cost control, and shipment status.

• Support audits and internal controls related to Exim operations.

• Liaise with internal departments like sales, finance, and production to align export-import processes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Exim policies, DGFT procedures, and customs regulations.

• Familiarity with export documentation specific to gems & jewellery (GJEPC procedures, hallmarking, valuation certificates, etc.).

• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and online portals (ICEGATE, DGFT portal, SEZ Online).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce/Business/International Trade or related field.

• 4–6 years of experience in Exim operations, preferably in the gems & jewellery industry.

• Knowledge of international trade regulations, banking, and export incentives.
